The Windows 95 Easter Egg

Don’t know what an Easter Egg is? It's a secret (often not well kept secret) series of keystrokes that uncovers a cast list or animation of all those involved in the development of the software. In the case of Windows 95, the credits go right the way down the development chain to Bill Gates.

  1. Right click on desktop

  2. Select New, Folder

  3. Name the folder by entering the following exactly as it appears here: and now, the moment you've all been waiting for

  4. Right click on the icon and select Rename

  5. Rename the folder by entering the following in lower case: we proudly present for your viewing pleasure

  6. Right click on the icon and select Rename

  7. Rename the folder by entering the following exactly as it appears, including punctuation: The Microsoft Windows 95 Product Team!

  8. Double click on the folder and watch the show
